Manage a Feature
From time to time you may wish to manage your features and their properties, either by editing them, or removing them completely.
To do so, start by navigating to the Features section, found in the left-hand navigation menu.
Here you will find a list of your existing features. The list view will include columns for name & description, slug, the timestamp for when the feature was created, and any available actions.
Editing a Feature
To edit a feature, locate it in your feature list, then click the 'Edit' icon in the actions column.
This will bring up the same screen you used to configure your feature and feature properties. This screen has three tabs: Feature Properties, Feature Workflow, and Manage Feature.
Feature Properties
The Feature Properties tab displays a list of configured feature properties, including columns for the feature property name, type, and available actions.
To edit a feature property, locate it in the feature properties list, then click the 'Edit' icon in the actions column.
For more information on how to configure feature properties, see our Add a Feature guide.
Please note: You are unable to change the property type of a feature property once it has been created, but you can edit all other details.
Deleting a Feature Property
If you wish to delete a feature property, but not the parent feature, locate the relevant parent feature in your features list, then click the 'Edit' icon in the actions column.
In the Feature Properties tab, locate the relevant feature property in the feature properties list, then click the 'Delete' icon in the actions column.
You will be prompted to confirm you wish to remove the feature property. This action cannot be undone, but deleting it will not delete the parent feature or other feature properties.
To continue, click 'Delete'. Otherwise, click 'Cancel'.
Please note: A feature property cannot be deleted if it is being referenced in a workflow.
Feature Workflow
The Feature Workflow tab allows you to define exactly how a feature should behave, using custom logic that is tailored to your product.
For more information, see our Workflows guide.
You can also delete the workflow from this tab.
Manage Feature
The Manage Feature tab allows you to edit the name, slug, description, and linked brands of your feature.
Once done, click 'Update'.
Deleting a Feature
To delete a feature, locate it in your feature list, then click the 'Delete' icon in the actions column.
You will be prompted to confirm you wish to remove the feature. This action cannot be undone, and will delete all feature properties along with the feature.
To continue, click 'Delete'. Otherwise, click 'Cancel'.
Please Note: Adding, editing, or deleting features and their properties will initially take place only in your Preview environment. To push changes to Live you will need to create a new version and publish that version to your Live environment. For more information, see our Environments guide.
